JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

OUR COMPANY
Cambrionix’s technology allows you to Charge, Connect, Manage and Store mobile devices, through innovative USB hubs. Based in Cambridge on the St. John’s Innovation Park, we have been successfully operating in this market for over 10 years. Currently dealing with some of the largest Blue-Chip companies in the world we help them achieve seamless data transfer and charging for mass deployments of mobile devices across many industries including Development and SQA (Testing) Teams, Retail, Education, Healthcare and other business verticals and audiences.
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day functions of the Finance team which will include, but not limited to managing cashflow, month end routine and reporting, liaison with external payroll processing, stock reconciliation, etc. The role will include the management of the work undertaken by the Office Assistant (invoice processing) – a role shared with the Operations team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Management of bank accounts and cashflow through control over receivables and payables
- Posting month end journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll, etc) and preparing a month end pack / trial balance for review by the Finance Director
- Liaison with payroll provider and review of payroll reports
- Periodic review of stock balances and stock counts to ensure they reconcile to the accounts
- Management of Office Assistant for their workload that relates to the Finance team (c. 50% of their time).
- Supporting other areas of the business when required.
ABOUT YOU
- AAT / CIMA part qualified / qualified by experience
- Experience of basic accounting with Xero
- Self starter; must be able to work independently and unsupervised.
- Task oriented; ability to juggle competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good accounting knowledge – ability to review, spot errors and reconcile as necessary
- Inquisitive mind
- Good level of IT skills – excel, Outlook, Xero and other software packages
- Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Accounting experience, whether via formal qualifications (AAT/CIMA/etc) or “on the job” experience.
- Experience of working in a professional environment
- Willingness to learn and demonstrate required skills
- Good excel skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Xero
- Experience in a technology company
