Syncing and charging at the same time
Yes you can sync (data transfer) and charge at the same time.
Charge and connect at the same time with Cambrionix managed USB hubs that deliver high-speed charging and syncing.
Charge & transfer data via sync at the same time.
Our managed USB hubs deliver high-speed data transfer rates for syncing and work independently to the Operating System (OS) and data transfer can be performed to all common mobile operating systems, such as iOS, Android, Chromebook and Microsoft.
Cambrionix products enable you to sync (data transfer) and charge the device at enhanced rate that other USB hubs cannot.
Most USB hubs cannot charge devices at more than a trickle rate while syncing.
Our hubs are built differently and offer the valuable feature of being able to charge devices while they are in sync mode.
Some mobile devices (including Apple devices and certain others such as Google Nexus 7 and 10, etc.), have the ability to sync and charge at a higher than normal power setting.
A normal sync rate charge is just 500mA.
Our hubs are designed to provide a charge rate of approximately 1.5A in sync mode, by utilising the CDP (Charging Downstream Port) functionality built into our hubs and devices.
This is ideal if you need to leave devices connected to a host and sync and charge overnight, as it means they will charge whilst syncing and continue after the data transfer has completed, ensuring the device is fully charged when needed.
Charging Downstream Port (CDP) is a downstream port that complies with the USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 definition of a hub and supports CDP features of being able to deliver at least 1.5A to each port.
