Build a Mobile Device Automation Lab

Test real/physical mobile devices smarter

Mobile phones are physical devices so it makes a lot of sense to build a local device lab that you can easily access and build.

Use Case Application

App Developers and anyone involved with software testing on mobile devices, there are plenty of reasons to test physical real mobile devices.

There are also lots of reasons to automate end-to-end mobile testing with many companies selling cloud solutions.

Although these platforms offer a virtual experience of a mobile phone and sometimes shared access to a real device, it makes a lot of sense to build a local device lab that you can easily access and control.

Why You Need An
In-House Mobile Device Lab

1. Mobile Applications have physical experiences = make sure you can test physically.

2. Test on real devices – where you need them when you need them and with no time limits or additional costs.

3. An in-house device lab gives you greater control when accessing development environments.

4. Cloud solutions can be expensive and also limit when and how you can upgrade your devices.

How ModIT can help

The self-contained lab-in-a-box keeps all your devices neatly organised without needing anything else to get started and provides you and your team with an all in-one device storage, charging and management system.

The ModIT modular station provides a framework for mobile devices to be stored, charged and synced. With a LCD screen and the ability to mount a Mac mini or Intel NUC within the BOSS module, the ModIT Charging Station even becomes a self- contained provisioning appliance when running Apple Configurator or your favourite MDM.

Refreshing faster than other solutions

By using a Thunderbolt™ 3 host port you can transfer data 16 times faster than using a USB 2 or USB 3.2 hub.

Why ModIT?

Compact, Scalable, Moveable

As your testing needs grow, so can your test lab. Connect up to six hubs and up to 96 devices from one host computer or BOSS module.

Fast data transfer and charging

Seamless sync and transfer data at up to 5Gbps per device/port. Charge and transfer data at the same time with the managed USB  hub that delivers up to 2.4A (12W) to every connected mobile phone.

Upload your new software to devices with lightning-fast speed, no more bandwidth bottlenecks.

All in one system

Connect up to six hubs and up to 96 devices from one host computer or BOSS module without being affected by the endpoint limitation.

Security built in –
if you need it

Individual locking gates built in to secure your expensive devices. Physical access can be granted to devices via RFID or programmatically via our API.

Of course, if you don’t need this security, you don’t need to use it.

No need to buy expensive accessories or other options.

Modular Charging Station - ModIT

Illuminating.

LED lights for each device can show charging/provisioning status and provide illumination to the slot. LEDs can be setup to provide additional information with our API/LiveViewer application.

Updating USB Hubs

Future proof.

Our intelligent charging algorithm can be updated to support new devices and charging protocols, ensuring your hub keeps up with market changes.
