4 ports | USB 2.0 | Type-C 60Watts | 480Mbps |Desktop | Charge & Sync | Control
Charge four Type-C downstream USB devices at up to 60Watts per port. The PowerSync4 complies with Power Deliver (PD) 2 specifications and supports 15/27/45/and 60Watt power delivery at up to 3A.
PowerSync4 supports power role reversal and can charge the host computer as well if desired.
PowerSync4 complies with USB 2.0 specifications, allowing data transfer at speeds up to 480Mbps.
Manage each port using Cambrionix software, switching between charging and syncing while capturing port data such as device serial numbers, charge and accumulated power.
Up to 16 Type-C mobile devices can be charged and managed by linking multiple PowerSync4s to your computer.
Provides up to 3A per port to PD2-compliant devices across all voltages, from 5 to 20 Vdc, giving up to 15/27/45 and 60 Watts of power by negotiation.
PowerSync4 supports BC1.2 and most common charging protocols as well as Power Delivery 2 specifications, allowing any compliant device to be charged at the maximum rate permitted by the manufacturer and USB specifications.
Firmware updates keep the hub up-to-date.

Type-C Power Delivery.
As well as supporting BC1.2 and Apple, Samsung and other manufacturer’s charging protocols, the PowerSync4 complies with PD2 specifications, allowing compliant devices to be charged at 5, 9, 15 and 20 Vdc with currents up to 3A per port. The host port supports power role reversal, allowing the host port either to provide charge to the PowerSync4 or to be charged by it. The host port is also PD2 compliant and similarly provides up to 60W charging.
The PS4 can offer up to 60W per port up to a total of 192W. This 192W is our power ‘budget’ and this budget is split between the four downstream ports and the upstream host port as required by the connected devices.
The budget allocation depends not only on the present amount of power being used by connected devices but also on the possible power usage declared by the device as per the USB PD2.0 specification. So a basic scenario is that devices get as much power as they like until there is not enough for a newly attached device. At this point the highest-powered device gets its allocated power reduced to 27W.
The 27W is allowed to be taken as 9V @ 3A, 12V @ 2.25A or 15V @ 1.8A. If at a later time there is sufficient unallocated power to allow for 60W to be offered, a device that has been limited will be offered 60W. If the PS4 Firmware determines that a connected device will not use all of its allocated power then that spare power is returned to the power budget.
The connected device will be told that it cannot increase its power usage above that which is in the present USB PD2.0 contract as negotiated between the device to be charged and the PS4.
Complete data management & control
The PowerSync4 works independently to the Operating System (OS) and can transfer data on all common operating systems, such as iOS, Android, Chromebook and Microsoft. Many versions of Linux are also supported.
When transferring data, connect the PowerSync4 to your host computer and any devices connected to the PowerSync4 will appear as if they were connected to the computer’s USB port. Fully compliant with High Speed USB2.0 the PowerSync4 supports data transfer at speeds up to 480Mbps.
Cambrionix provides three independent software controls that allow you to:
- Capture device information (Serial number, Device ID, Vendor ID)
- Capture instantaneous and cumulative current, power and voltage
- Provide elapsed time on charge
- Switch individual ports between charge, charge & sync, sync only and off
Our software can be used as an independent App, or can be integrated into your software stack, allowing you to integrate data transfer and device charging processes in your workflow. Data, such as charge status, device ID and port number can be reported and captured to allow status reports to be generated.
Scale to meet your needs.
Connect up to four PowerSync4s to a single host computer to charge, sync and monitor up to 16 devices simultaneously using Cambrionix and MDM software.
Just as much power as you need.
The PowerSync4 auto-detects attached devices and adjusts the current and voltage output levels to the highest level permitted by the device manufacturer and USB specifications. If the charging device supports BC1.2 and charging downstream port (CDP), high current charging during syncing is supported.
If the device supports PD2, voltage is negotiated with the device and current is delivered according to demand. Our intelligent charging algorithm can be updated to support new devices and charging protocols, ensuring your Cambrionix hub keeps up with market changes.
Safe, reliable charging.
Cambrionix products are independently tested for safety and emissions. PowerSync4 has ESD, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection.
