Remote access to hubs and devices

View and manage your entire fleet of host machines, hubs and devices from anywhere in the world with remote access.

User management and roles

Invite a maximum of 10 additional users to join your organisation to collaborate. Use the Connect platform to view devices and manage hub settings.

Assign pre-defined user access permissions to maintain security and access control:

  • Member - Can read everything and view all information but cannot make any changes
  • Contributor - Can perform all actions except manage/invite users to the organisation
  • Owner - Can perform all actions and manage users in the organisation

Connect Standard stores the last known status of every device and hub, helping you track usage and identify removals when the host is unreachable or if a device is removed.

  • Add your own user-defined data and specific attributes including purchase date, shelf number, rack space, lab name, location or team. Then use built-in search and filter functionality to identify and navigate to hubs/devices with specific custom attributes
  • Create multiple hardware groups to view hubs/devices by use, team, area, rack, building etc.

FAQs

  • Is it necessary to use Connect to operate Cambrionix hubs?

    Yes. Using Connect is optional, but it’s strongly recommend to make the most of your Cambrionix hubs, and provides intelligent functionality including remote monitoring, power management and detailed device insights and fleet-wide visibility that would otherwise be unavailable.

  • Do I need to install anything locally?

    Yes. While Connect is a cloud application, all host machines in your organisation require a local agent (API) to control and communicate with attached hubs. The onboarding wizard will guide you through the process.

  • Can I manage my devices while located in a different country?

    Yes. Connect is cloud-based, meaning you can view and manage any registered hub or device, regardless of its physical location. Your host needs to be connected to the internet, have the Connect agent installed, and be signed into your organisation.

  • Is Connect available worldwide?

    Yes. Connect is a global platform, and provides access to hubs and devices in your organisation from anywhere in the world via a supported browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Firefox are all supported)

  • Can I invite team members to use Connect?

    Yes. Connect organisations can have up to 10 users and assign them specific roles (Owner, Contributor or Member) to control their level of access.

  • Does Connect support DFU mode?

    Not at this time. DFU mode support and power management and automations will be part of Connect Premium, which is currently in development.

  • Can I use Connect with my existing hubs?

    Yes. Connect is compatible with both new and existing Cambrionix hubs. Simply install the agent on your host machine and sign into your Connect account to get started.

  • Is it free to use Cambrionix Connect?

    Yes. A Connect organisation is free for new and existing users, providing worldwide remote management of Cambrionix hubs to help new and existing users work more intelligently.

  • Is my data secure?

    Yes. Connect is built with modern security best practices, including encrypted communications and access control. Only authorised users can view or modify your organisation’s hub and device data.
