You spoke, we listened: Ensuring the best performance from your SuperSync15

Through collaboration with customers who have contacted our support desk, we have identified circumstances where communications with the SuperSync15 product may operate differently than expected.

The communication protocol of the SuperSync15 has been designed such that it’s possible to use any typical terminal emulator to interact with our products. Using a terminal emulator, sending commands using plain text via keyboard input is possible. This allows for configuration changes using various host systems without custom software. When custom software has been developed to automate processes, it may be possible, when not waiting for command acknowledgements, that the product could block further communication without a power reset. To avoid such situations, software should wait for command acknowledgements before sending further messages.

Managing low-level communication via custom software can be challenging, and our Command-Line Instruction (CLI) manual provides all the necessary information should it be required.

Cambrionix also provides an application programming interface (API) that handles all the low-level communication and requirements and provides a simple interface for custom software. We highly recommend using the API, which dramatically simplifies and accelerates custom software development.
